Building Relationships
and Developing People

Build strong relationships with members of the Moderns Department for many years, because I know that these teachers will be at other schools. By guiding these teachers, I was able to make changes in the board through their teaching practices. 

Created various Quebec trips to help students learn the French-Canadian culture through experiential learning excursions. It is through these trips that I was able to build a trusting relationships with parents and students where parents feels that I was there to keep their children safe. 

Built a working relationship with students in student government and council to make changes in school. Created a more diverse council and dictated how student government operated and how the routines and expectations were followed. 

Lead and collaborated with the Modern Language Department Heads  in YCDSB the direction we wish to pursue in the French programs and mentored the next generation of French teachers to take on the leadership role as the new Chair of Moderns. 

Built a Specialist High Skills Majors Program for the Arts and Culture students where they felt that learning is fun and engaging. 

Worked with a team of teachers to evaluate students fluency in French according to the Ministry of Education of France. 

Worked with a team of teachers to build a group of student leaders to lead the grade 9 orientation program in Muskoka Woods. 

Took students to Europe for a tour of France and various countries and brought students to experience a French Exchange program.
